Our Journey in the World of Premium Tobacco
My journey in the world of tobacco began unexpectedly. I am Cuban and graduated as an agronomist, initially planning to work in coffee fields. Life, however, led me to the universe of tobacco, where I discovered a passion that has shaped my career. My first role was at the Tobacco Research Institute in Cabaiguán, Cuba, where I spent five years learning the art of cultivating tobacco for premium cigars and understanding the intricate processes behind every perfect leaf. Later, I had the opportunity to travel to Haiti to plant tobacco for a company producing cigars in the Dominican Republic. Shortly after, I joined Oliva Cigar in Nicaragua, where my knowledge of cultivation, fermentation, and cigar production continued to grow step by step. Each stage of this journey taught me that the world of premium tobacco is not only about technique and care, but also about patience, dedication, and respect for tradition. Today, everything I have learned translates into a constant commitment to quality and excellence, aiming to offer our clients not just a product, but a genuine and enriching experience.
